There are many video games that get released and received praise from players and critics alike and become a successful commercially. But some games receive more appreciation from fans and appeal for a sequel for it. here, we add a list of top ten most wanted video game sequels ever.

1. Half-Life 3

Half-Life 3

This game tops the list for the most wanted video game sequels. These series of first person shooter games are developed and published by Valve. Two series have been released so far but the third installment that was meant to be released in 2007 has never been released, and no date has been set for production.

2. Warcraft 4

The original Warcraft video game was produced by Blizzard as part of the World of Warcraft series. Warcraft III, the third in line, was released in 2002, and since then, fans have been waiting for the fourth sequel fifteen years down the road.

3. Timesplitters 4

These are series of video games developed by Free Radical Design with the first person shooter basis. It’s been over seven years since the last sequel was announced and expected. However, hope for the sequel was resurrected when it was announced on August 15 this year that THQ Nordic had bought the rights to the franchise.

4. Red Dead Redemption 2

This Western themed action video game is a follow up to Red Dead Redemption released in 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Production for the sequel has already started and the date for its release has been set for October 26th 2018.

5. Beyond Good & Evil 2

This video game is an upcoming adventure game and a sequel to Beyond ‘Good and Evil’ the original, which was released in 2003. The production of a sequel has been on and off since then but the release was officially announced at Ubisoft’s E3 2017 although no release date, platform or window was revealed.

6. Brütal Legend

This original video game, an action adventure, was created by Double Fire for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and features a real time strategy. It was released in October 2009 and since then no sequel has been planned though versions for Mac OS and Linux have been published.

7. Psychonauts 2

The original video game from Double Fine productions was released in 2005 and initially flopped. Over time though, it has gathered a big following, selling over 1.7 million copies. Production of the sequel was started in 2016 but the release date has been pushed up twice now to sometime in 2019.

8. Wasteland 3

The post apocalyptic role playing video game series were first released in 1988. Produced by inXile Entertainment, the first sequel was released in 2014 and earned over $12 million. After raising over $3 million in crowd funding, the sequel is set for production and will be released in 2009

9. Conker's Bad Fur Day 2

The original of the Conker series was released over 11 years ago but since then, Microsoft and Rare have failed to come up with a sequel, though plans were made but later cancelled for a Conker getting medieval game and a Conker’s other bad day.

10. Diddy Kong Racing

The last in the list of most wanted video game sequels, this racing game was developed and published by Rare for Nintendo 64 and has sold over 4.5 million copies. However, more than twenty years since its release, no sequel has ever been made though two sequels were planned but later cancelled.
